The course will help those who have family, friends or work with individuals who have diabetes. It will help to develop knowledge and skills to support individuals to have a better quality of life. During the course you will learn about:
- Recognizing symptoms of diabetes, and how it can be diagnosed
- Treating diabetes through lifestyle and medication and what to do if not under control
- Monitoring diabetes, both by healthcare professionals and by the patient
- Recognizing people at risk of complications associated with diabetes
How long will it take?
This course will take place 10am-4pm, it can take place either at a workplace or the training centre.
