Get into Apprenticeships through Traineeships
Traineeships are a pre-Apprenticeship programme. They
are perfect if you’re aged 16-24, have D grade or lower at GCSE and are looking to get in to work.
Traineeships are government funded short courses designed to help you with your journey to employment or apprenticeship
They will give you hands on experience in your desired place of work and valuable insight into the business you want to begin your career.
Aim Skills have been helping people find the right courses for years. We are experts in matching people up with the right traineeships in London – get in touch today to find out how we can help you.
The programme lasts 6-8 weeks:
- 3-4 weeks training
- A work placement is a further 3-4 weeks
How do they help secure an Apprenticeship or Job?
Not only will you have the traineeship qualification, experience plus Functional Skills Maths/English (if needed) to add to your CV but the work placement allows you time to impress an employer which may want to then to take you on for an apprenticeship or full time role (check our testimonials for these success stories!) afterwards.
Also by completing a traineeship allows us to refer you to other providers offering the next step to apprenticeship
How it’s taught – online learning
Due to Covid-19 teaching is now via Zoom
- Customer Service and Employability Level 1 is taught for 1 hour a day
- If you do not have Maths and English Grace C/4 (GCSE), you will receive additional training for Functional Skills Maths and English
- If you do not own a laptop/computer/tablet we can help facilitate your studying at our centre or loan a laptop
What the professionals are saying
We’ve had a number of young people that have successfully completed their work placements with the trust and as a result many have been offered apprenticeships in front line roles with departments such as Out Patients, Pharmacy and in various administrative roles.

Aim Skills have been extremely instrumental in providing unemployed customers the opportunities needed to get them close and back into work. The training programmes they offer have been very useful to customers and many have found work. The apprenticeships available are very good and there is always demand for these type of roles.
